nanoCAD Steel Structures 26 Launches for Russian Linux Systems
Nanosoft has released nanoCAD Steel Structures 26, a special Linux edition for Astra Linux, Alt Linux and RED OS, centered on 3D modeling with automatic 2D views.

Russian CAD/BIM developer Nanosoft has released nanoCAD Steel Structures 26, a version built specifically for Russian Linux-based operating systems. It supports Astra Linux 1.7 and 1.8, Alt Linux 10 and RED OS 8.
The product is an add-on to the nanoCAD Platform for producing 2D drawings of steel and reinforced-concrete structures. Version 26 focuses on a shift to 3D modeling of steel structures, with 2D views created and updated automatically. It also adds transparent accounting through automatic specifications and paint schedules, and an updatable library of elements aimed at real-world design tasks.
Aimed at domestic operating systems
According to the company, the special Linux edition runs stably on Russian operating systems and lets users keep working on projects in a familiar and secure IT environment without changing their workflows.
Nanosoft lists several benefits for Linux users: software sovereignty through a move to Russian operating systems, easier migration thanks to an interface that matches the one users already know and keeps transition costs down, and technical support for faster adaptation and day-to-day use.
Licensing and trial
Buyers can test all functions free of charge before purchasing; full functionality is available for 30 days. Licensing covers perpetual or time-limited local and network licenses, with terms of one, two or three years.
The Linux edition of the steel structures application requires a license for a Linux configuration of the nanoCAD Platform: Standard Build or Pro. The company says users can choose a configuration and license type on the nanocad.ru website or through authorized partners, and the current price list is published in the site's prices section. Users can discuss the new features and ask questions in the dedicated thread of the user forum.
