Mydepo's LiveSync AI Interpreter Debuts at Chile Conference
Korean startup Mydepo launched LiveSync, a real-time AI interpreting service, and used it to cover a three-day international academic conference in Santiago, Chile.

Korean enterprise AI company Mydepo has launched LiveSync, a real-time AI interpreting service, and used it at its first major event: the CIKI–ICKM–GFIC 2026 academic conference in Santiago, Chile. The company announced the launch on the 4th.
The conference ran from October 28 to 30, combining three international gatherings on knowledge management, innovation and intellectual capital. It was hosted by the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH). Researchers from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Chile presented in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Subtitles on every phone
Multilingual conferences usually need interpreters, booths and receivers for each language. LiveSync instead transcribes and translates a speaker's voice in real time. Attendees scan a QR code or open a link and read subtitles in their chosen language on their own phones. Mydepo covered nine plenary sessions, about 17 hours in total, including the opening ceremony, keynotes, panel discussions and roundtables. In one panel, the moderator kept the discussion going in three languages instead of settling on one.
CEO Ryu Seung-hoon opened his October 29 AI-session talk in Korean while the audience followed along on their phones. According to the company's own evaluation, LiveSync made up to 86% fewer translation errors than major global AI interpreting services when rendering Korean into Spanish.
A searchable record
After the event, Mydepo built a conference record site from the interpreting transcripts. AI extracted key claims, people, institutions and concepts, then checked each quotation against the transcript, keeping only those it could verify. That left 1,747 quotations, a safeguard against AI inventing statements. Users can click a quote to hear the original audio and copy it in an academic citation format. The site is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean.
The company says it has received adoption inquiries, including from a Brazilian university preparing the next conference. Mydepo will also take part in a Korea–Latin America smart city roadshow in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in December.
"Interpreting disappears when an event ends, but what is said at a conference remains material researchers need," Ryu said. Mydepo is a TIPS-selected company backed by accelerator Kryptos, also runs the enterprise vibe-coding workspace thread0, and has entities in the US and Chile.
