Meta quietly launches Style Sketch, an AI outfit app
Meta has released Style Sketch, an AI fashion app that builds a virtual wardrobe from Instagram photos and suggests outfits, without a formal announcement.

Meta has released Style Sketch, an AI-powered fashion app, without announcing it. The app helps users put together outfit ideas from clothes they already own.
Users can connect Style Sketch to Instagram, which builds a virtual wardrobe from photos they have shared before. Items can also be added by hand: by photographing a garment, recording a short video or uploading an image from the phone's gallery.
Outfits on a realistic model
The app pairs pieces from the wardrobe according to the user's style and suggests combinations. According to the app's description, looks can be tried on a realistic model that matches the user's body shape and skin tone. Users can also pick a single item and get new outfit ideas built around it.
Travel planning is another focus. Users enter a destination, trip length and planned activities, and the app creates a daily outfit plan that takes the weather forecast and itinerary into account.
Limited availability
Style Sketch is available on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. It is not known whether Meta will release it in other countries.
Digital wardrobes and outfit visualization are already served by startups such as Alta, and Google Photos offers similar tools. Meta's potential advantage is the Instagram integration, which gives the app access to a visual history that reflects users' personal style.
The app joins a run of recent AI releases from Meta, including the virtual pet app Waddle World, Pocket, which codes games from AI prompts, and Vibes, which generates AI videos. Mark Zuckerberg reportedly told employees this year that the company plans to ship far more apps than before, because AI efficiency speeds up development.
