Kabilio raises €10 million for its AI accounting agent in Barcelona

Barcelona-based startup Kabilio has closed a €10 million funding round to expand its AI platform for accounting firms and the small businesses they serve. The company's client base is nearing 500 firms.
The round was led by Picus Capital and Visionaries, the same investors that led Kabilio's pre-Seed round. CDTI, Spain's public agency for technological innovation, also participated in the financing.
Targeting routine accounting work
Kabilio builds an AI agent meant to take over repetitive tasks in accounting practices. The company's pitch is captured in a line from its announcement: "Nobody becomes an accountant to chase receipts." The aim is to free accountants from manual chores so they can spend more time on advisory work for their clients.
Why it matters
Accounting firms are a key channel to small businesses, which often lack in-house finance teams. Tools that automate document collection and bookkeeping work can help firms serve more clients without adding headcount. The fact that existing investors led the new round, with a public innovation agency joining, signals continued backing after the early stage.
The company has not disclosed further details in the material available, such as valuation or specific product plans. With the fresh capital, Kabilio is set to deploy its AI accounting agent more widely among firms as its customer base grows toward the 500 mark.
