iPhone Duo review: Apple's first foldable tested in Turkey
Apple's first foldable, the iPhone Duo, impresses with battery life and a crease-hiding inner display, but its camera and app optimization trail the iPhone 18 Pro.

The iPhone Duo is a strong first foldable from Apple, with excellent battery life and a well-hidden crease, but its cameras and app support lag behind the iPhone 18 Pro family. The device has now gone on sale in Turkey, where it was reviewed.
Design and display
The iPhone Duo comes in Night and Star colors and uses a foldable titanium design. It measures 11.3 mm thick when closed and 5.2 mm when open, and weighs 254 grams. For comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is 8.75 mm thick and weighs 249 grams.
The front is protected by Ceramic Shield 2 and the back by Ceramic Shield, and the phone is IP68 rated. Face ID is replaced by Touch ID built into the power button, there is no Action Button, and the Camera Control button remains. It has no physical SIM tray and works with eSIM only.
The outer screen is a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED (1398 x 2034, 460 ppi). Unfolded, a 7.6-inch OLED inner display (1878 x 2670) appears, with nano-texture glass that reduces glare and does a good job of masking the crease. Both screens offer adaptive ProMotion up to 120 Hz, always-on display and Dynamic Island, and the phone supports the USB-C Apple Pencil.
Performance, cameras and battery
The A20 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU and 7-core GPU powers the phone, with storage from 256 GB to 2 TB. Despite a vapor chamber, it warms up under heavy use, and the iPhone 18 Pro handles heat better.
Two apps can run side by side on the inner screen, but not every app is optimized for the foldable layout yet. Games and video benefit from the wide display.
The rear system has two 48-megapixel cameras: a Fusion main (ƒ/1.6) and a Fusion Ultra Wide (ƒ/2.2, 120-degree field of view). There is no dedicated telephoto; the main camera offers 2x optical-quality zoom and 4x in total. Overall camera performance trails the iPhone 18 Pro line. The outer screen has a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera, while the under-display FaceTime camera inside has somewhat low image quality.
Battery life is a highlight: up to 24 hours of daily use and up to 44 hours of video on the outer screen (31 on the inner). A 60 W or stronger adapter reaches 50 percent in about 20 minutes, and MagSafe with 35 W or more takes about 30 minutes. It outlasts the iPhone 18 Pro.
Price
The iPhone Duo starts at 229,999 TL, and the 2 TB model costs 335,999 TL.
