Indian Startups Raise $115 Million in Week of Oct 26-31
Twenty-eight Indian startups raised $115 million this week, with Simplismart and Live2.ai securing $14 million each and Troovy closing an $11.5 million Series B.
Indian startups raised about $115 million across 28 companies in the week of October 26 to 31, according to weekly funding data. The total is lower than the roughly $133.9 million that 15 startups secured in the previous week, though this week's money was spread across far more companies.
Growth-stage deals lead
Four growth-stage deals together brought in $42.34 million. Simplismart and Live2.ai were the largest, each raising $14 million. Together the two rounds account for $28 million of the growth-stage total.
E-commerce brand Troovy raised $11.5 million in a Series B round led by Sharrp Ventures. Info Edge, WaterBridge and Better Capital also participated in the round.
Early-stage activity
The remaining deals were early-stage: 24 in total, including one round whose size was not disclosed. That means the bulk of the week's transactions, by count, came from younger companies, even as the few growth-stage rounds made up a large share of the disclosed capital.
The week also recorded six key appointments and one departure across the ecosystem, a reminder that leadership changes continue alongside the funding flow.
What it shows
The comparison with the prior week points to a broader base of funded companies: 28 startups this week against 15 a week earlier, even though total capital was lower. For founders, the mix suggests investors remain active at both early and growth stages, with backers such as Info Edge and Better Capital again appearing on cap tables. Weekly tallies like this are volatile, and a single large round can shift totals sharply from one week to the next, so trends are better read over several weeks than from one data point.
