Honor has introduced the X9e s, a mid-range smartphone whose main selling point is an 8,560 mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging. The device is already on sale in the Middle East.

The phone runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor with Adreno 810 graphics. It comes in a single configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Software is Android 16 with the MagicOS 10 interface.

Display and cameras

The X9e s has a 6.79-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2640 × 1200 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 1,800 nits, and PWM dimming runs at 3,840 Hz. An optical fingerprint scanner is built into the display.

On the back, a 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilization is paired with a 5 MP ultra-wide module (f/2.2). The front camera uses a 16 MP sensor.

Build and connectivity

Despite the large battery, the body is 7.76 mm thick and weighs 196 g. It is rated IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for dust and water resistance. Wireless features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC.

Price and availability

In the Middle East, the phone is sold in Dawn Orange, Glacier White and Midnight Black for 1,499 Saudi riyals, roughly $400. The handset is identical to the Honor Turbo 5G sold in CIS countries, including Russia, so buyers there can expect the same hardware under a different name.
