GTA VI Needs 212 GB: Xbox Series Storage Cards to Consider
GTA VI launches on November 19 with pre-loading from November 10, and it needs 212 GB free. Xbox Series owners can avoid deleting games with an official expansion card.

GTA VI arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series on November 19, and Rockstar has confirmed that pre-loading opens on November 10. Players will need 212 GB of free space to download it, a hard target for owners of an Xbox Series S, especially those who keep many Game Pass titles installed.
Many players will therefore have to uninstall some of their current games. Xbox Series X|S owners have an alternative: the official expansion cards from Seagate and SanDisk, which add storage without forcing a purge of the library.
Sold-out Seagate, available SanDisk
MediaMarkt cut the price of the 1 TB Seagate card to 215.65 euros in its outlet today, but it quickly sold out. The 512 GB SanDisk card, priced at 132.98 euros and bundled with one month of Xbox Game Pass, is still available at Amazon at a better price. A 1 TB SanDisk version exists too, at 257.99 euros, but it has a long delivery time and is less attractive on price.
Why an official card
These SSDs plug into the port on the back of the Series X and Series S and install in seconds, with no complex setup. They work like the internal storage, so features such as Quick Resume and fast game installs keep working. That is the main advantage over generic external SSDs and hard drives, which cannot match that integration.
The card is not the cheapest route, and the current price is not its lowest to date. It makes sense for Xbox Series owners who plan to play GTA VI and lack the space, and who do not want to delete other titles. Those with enough free space, or who do not mind removing games, can skip it.
