French startup GRANIT has raised €5 million to build AI agents that take over the administrative work of healthcare professionals: checking coverage, invoicing, correcting rejected claims and chasing paying bodies. The agents operate directly inside the business software and platforms practitioners already use.

Founded in March 2026 by Jenny Mansour and Corneille Maréchal, the company says it is already deployed in more than 250 healthcare structures in France. Its approach is to keep existing tools in place and automate the manual steps needed to process files and track payments.

Usage-based pricing and a bold claim

GRANIT charges on a usage basis, depending on the profession, the functions enabled and the volumes processed. Human managers handle special cases. The company claims up to a 90% reduction in time spent on administrative tasks, but it does not specify how that maximum figure is measured.

The round combines €3.5 million in equity, led by Seedcamp, and €1.5 million in non-dilutive funding, with Bpifrance among the participants. The money will go toward strengthening technical and sales teams, opening up to new healthcare specialties and first developments in several European countries.

A crowded field

GRANIT is entering the market for administrative management and third-party payment, where providers such as IREMIA SANTÉ already handle claim rejections, reminders and unpaid-invoice tracking. Its differentiator is automating the execution itself, although its cost and reliability will need to be measured against existing services.

On adjacent functions, Nabla is building agents embedded in clinical operations, while Tandem Health is expanding beyond the medical scribe. Those players approach automation through documentation and clinical work; GRANIT focuses on invoicing and collections.

For practitioners, the pitch is less paperwork without changing software. Whether the promised savings hold up across different specialties and volumes will be the test as the company expands beyond France.
