Google Confirms Android Family Hub in Settings via Play Services
Google's November System Services notes confirm the Android Family Hub, a dedicated place for family management tools in Settings, arriving with Play services v26.43.

Google has confirmed the Android Family Hub, a dedicated space for family management tools inside Android Settings. The company lists the feature in its November 2026 System Services release notes, saying it arrives with Google Play services v26.43.
The release notes are brief and give no further detail. But the hub was already spotted in testing on Pixel 11 phones, where a new Family entry sat at the very top of the Settings app.
What the hub offers
In that test, tapping the entry opened a page listing family members alongside details on shared subscriptions such as Google One storage, Google AI and YouTube Premium. It also surfaced Calendar events involving several family members, the current shared locations of family members, and feature suggestions for the family manager.
The placement echoes Apple's approach on iOS, where Family Sharing controls sit near the top of Settings. On Android, managing a Google family group has meant moving between the Family Link app, the Play Store and various Google account pages. Gathering those tools in one spot should make life easier for family managers.
Which phones will get it
Google does not say which devices will receive the Family Hub. Earlier sightings came only from the Pixel 11, but because the feature ships through Google Play services rather than a Pixel-specific update, it may reach a wider range of Android phones. That has not been confirmed.
Play services updates roll out gradually, so the Family Hub may take some time to appear on any given device.
