Rant Gaming Studios, the team led by Escape from Tarkov creator Nikita Buyanov, held its promised showcase of the sci-fi multiplayer shooter Fragmentary Order on 4 November. The studio released a 14-minute gameplay video and announced a closed alpha that will start before the end of 2026.

What the video shows

The game is set in 2251, in a world where all wars are fought remotely. Players control remotely operated clones and send them into combat zones across the Solar System. The footage focuses on cooperative play: firefights with enemies, coordination between players, inventory management and equipment customization.

Viewers who commented on the video praised the atmosphere, graphics and level of detail. They also criticized the dialogue as unnatural, and many said they were preparing for a long testing period.

Paid access through Prime Batch

Access to the closed alpha, and to other tests before the open beta, will go to members of Prime Batch. The program offers early access to Fragmentary Order tests through a paid subscription with two tiers: Candidates at $45 and Founders at $80. According to early user reports, buying a subscription from Russia is not possible.

What is known about the game

Fragmentary Order is in development for PC and has no release date. The developers promise hard science fiction, huge maps three to four times larger than those in Escape from Tarkov, vehicles, and graphics built on Unreal Engine 5.

For now, the alpha is the only way to play, and it requires a paid commitment before the studio has named a launch window. The game's scale and the studio's track record with Tarkov are likely to keep it under close watch as testing begins.
