FitnessKPI, a platform that provides data intelligence to fitness operators, has closed a new €1.3 million investment round to speed up its expansion in the United States.

The round was led by Encomenda Capital and Angels Capital. All of the company's existing investors also took part, choosing to increase their stake in the business and back what the company describes as its next stage of growth.

Why it matters

The full participation of current backers alongside two lead investors is a sign of continued confidence in the company as it looks beyond its current markets. For gym and studio operators, tools that turn operational data into decisions are becoming a competitive factor, and the US is one of the largest fitness markets to target.

The announcement does not detail how the new capital will be split between hiring, product development and commercial activity, so those specifics remain to be confirmed.
