Dearbe Launches AI Companion and UGC Platform on Google Play
South Korean startup Dearbe has launched a platform that pairs AI character companionship with user-generated content, now on Google Play and the web, with iOS due mid-month.

Dearbe, a company led by CEO Bae Jun-seok, has officially launched an AI companion and user-generated content (UGC) platform of the same name. The service is available through Google Play and the company's official website, Dearbe announced on November 2.
The platform lets users build a bond with AI characters through conversation, and also create and share their own characters and stories.
Features beyond chat
Dearbe supports a range of interactive elements. These include "theme" content, in which users enjoy a narrative on a virtual stage, as well as character figure creation, outfit dressing, generation of exclusive original soundtracks (OSTs), a video theater and mini-games.
Reader, creator, collector
The platform is designed so that users move fluidly between three roles: reader, creator and collector. People can start by consuming characters and stories made by others, then shift to producing their own fictional worlds. They can also collect derivative items such as figures, music tracks and costumes.
The company says this structure is meant to nurture a self-sustaining ecosystem in which content circulates among users rather than relying only on one-to-one chats with a bot.
Launch contest and iOS
To mark the launch, Dearbe is running a global launch contest from November 2 to 22. It is open to users in five countries and regions: South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the United States.
An iOS version is scheduled for release in mid-November, which would extend access beyond Android and the web. The launch adds to a growing field of AI character services that combine companionship with creator tools.
