CrowdStrike Buys Fiddler AI and Dreadnode for Nearly $500M
CrowdStrike is acquiring Fiddler AI and Dreadnode to monitor and test AI agents, paying roughly $495 million combined as enterprises rush to deploy agents.

CrowdStrike is buying two AI security companies, Fiddler AI and Dreadnode, to widen its ability to monitor, test and protect AI models and agents. Reported prices are around $400 million for Fiddler AI and about $95 million for Dreadnode, which puts the combined bill close to $500 million.
Fiddler AI makes observability software that lets enterprises watch what their AI agents are doing. Dreadnode automates security testing aimed at finding flaws in AI models, applications and agents before they go live.
How the products fit in
Fiddler AI will become part of CrowdStrike's Falcon platform under the name Falcon Observe. It is meant to help customers evaluate agents before deployment, understand their actions and monitor their behavior, then feed that information into the wider platform as telemetry.
Dreadnode will be folded into Falcon Guardian, the detection and response controls CrowdStrike has been building to show what agents are doing on company devices. The startup's software will pass its test results to that product as security policy recommendations.
Why it matters
The deals come as corporate policies lag behind AI adoption. Teams and individual employees are experimenting with AI tools, automating workflows, vibe-coding custom apps and deploying large numbers of agents, which creates headaches for security teams.
CrowdStrike, whose products are widely used by enterprises and governments, is using its scale to claim a share of this fast-growing market. It is far from alone: several startups and security vendors have raised tens of millions of dollars on the premise that existing security software is not enough to monitor and control AI tools, connectors and usage.
Founded in 2018, Fiddler AI has raised about $99 million in total, according to PitchBook. Dreadnode, founded in 2023, has raised $14 million.
