Pune-based health tech startup Clinics On Cloud has raised ₹120 crore (around $12.5 million) in a Series A round led by Model42, the medtech-focused investment arm of UAE-based Enlightened Minds Investments. The round values the company at ₹600 crore ($63.3 million).

According to the company, the money will go toward AI-led healthcare capabilities, research and development, and growth of its micro-clinic ecosystem. A share will also strengthen manufacturing capacity, deepen partnerships with healthcare providers and widen its international footprint.

What the company builds

Founded in 2018 by Abhay and Manashrri Agarwal, Clinics On Cloud makes and deploys AI-powered "health ATMs", portable box clinics and mobile medical units. These deliver point-of-care preventive checkups and telemedicine consultations, and let hospitals and government agencies set up temporary micro-clinics.

The startup claims more than 3,500 deployments across 200 cities in India and seven other countries, and says it has screened over 1.2 crore patients. It also says it serves the Indian Army, Navy and the Border Security Force.

"For eight years, we have built Clinics On Cloud with a simple belief that quality healthcare should never depend on someone's pincode," said cofounder and CEO Abhay Agarwal, adding that the investment lets the company take that vision global.

Global plans and market backdrop

The company intends to make the UAE its expansion hub, with Africa, the US and Southeast Asia as target markets.

The round comes as investor interest in healthtech picks up on the back of AI adoption. Ultrahuman raised $70 million in September, and CARPL.ai secured $10 million in a Series A led by International Finance Corporation in July. India's healthtech market is projected to reach $37 billion by 2030.
