Boba Bhai revenue jumps 139% to Rs 68 crore in FY26, losses widen
Bengaluru-based Boba Bhai more than doubled its operating revenue to Rs 68 crore in FY26, but losses also widened as it opened dozens of new stores.
Bengaluru-based tea and beverage chain Boba Bhai more than doubled its revenue in the fiscal year ended March 2026, though its losses widened as the company pushed ahead with expansion.
According to its financial statements, revenue from operations rose 139% to Rs 68 crore in FY26, up from Rs 28.44 crore in FY25. The Titan Capital-backed company opened several dozen new stores during the year, which drove growth but also increased costs.
Food and beverage drives sales
Food and beverage sales, the main revenue source, climbed 137.1% to Rs 67.26 crore in FY26. That figure accounts for 99% of the company's operating revenue. The remainder comes from smaller items such as scrap sales.
Growth at a cost
The filings show that losses grew over the same period, in line with a pattern common among fast-expanding consumer chains: new outlets add rent, staffing and setup expenses before they reach maturity. The details of the loss figure were not available in the material reviewed.
The numbers matter because India's bubble tea and specialty beverage segment is crowded, and investors are watching whether young chains can scale store networks while keeping unit economics under control. Boba Bhai's more than twofold revenue jump suggests strong customer demand, but the widening loss shows profitability remains a work in progress.
The company's next steps will depend on how quickly its new stores mature and whether it can raise further funding to support continued expansion.
