Biedronka Prepares BIEK, Its Own Grocery Delivery App in Poland
Biedronka is preparing BIEK, its own mobile app for home grocery orders, as a direct sales channel separate from Glovo and Uber Eats.

Biedronka is preparing its own mobile app for ordering groceries to the home. The app is called BIEK, and it appears in the new terms and conditions of the Moja Biedronka loyalty programme.
According to the document, BIEK will be a separate sales channel. Customers will shop directly from Biedronka rather than through intermediaries such as Glovo or Uber Eats.
Why the retailer wants its own channel
The Polish discounter has offered home delivery for some time, partly through partnerships with Glovo and Uber Eats. It also runs dedicated BIEK (Biedronka Express) outlets that fulfil such orders in the largest cities. Its own app would give the chain more control over the whole shopping process as it tries to strengthen its position in quick commerce, or q-commerce.
The app will be tied to Moja Biedronka. Existing members will be able to log in automatically with their current accounts. Anyone without an account who signs up in the BIEK app will join the loyalty programme automatically.
What remains unclear
The terms do not say who will deliver the orders. Biedronka could hire its own couriers or keep relying on Glovo or Uber Eats workers. It is also an open question whether BIEK will continue to operate through external platforms or disappear from them entirely.
There is no launch date in the available information. For shoppers, the key points to watch are the delivery model, the pricing and whether the third-party platforms keep the retailer's offer once its own app is live.
