According to the event details, DEUX carried out an official performance conveying the university's vision. It delivered the declaration text to Kwangwoon University President Yoon Do-young, then performed an embrace with him. The robot also joined the celebration ceremony that followed the declaration.

The gesture of handing a document to a person and connecting through a hug was meant to illustrate how robots could interact with people in educational settings.

Why it matters

The event was organized so that Kwangwoon University could set out its direction for next-generation AI and robotics education. It also marked the official launch of the 2027 Robofest World Championship Seoul.

For XYZ, the appearance puts its humanoid platform in front of an academic audience at a moment when universities are rethinking curricula around AI and robotics. The source material does not detail the robot's technical specifications or any commercial agreement with the university.

The 2027 Robofest World Championship Seoul is the next milestone tied to the vision announced at the ceremony.
