Robin Capital closes €15 million second fund for AI and space
Berlin-based solo VC Robin Capital has closed Robin Capital Fund II at €15 million, lifting total commitments across its two early-stage funds to €30 million.
Berlin-based venture firm Robin Capital has closed its second fund at €15 million. Robin Capital Fund II brings total commitments across the firm's two early-stage vehicles to €30 million.
The new fund follows a first €15 million vehicle that closed in 2024. Robin Capital describes itself as a solo VC, meaning a single general partner runs the firm, and it backs early-stage companies in AI, robotics and space.
Portfolio so far
According to the firm, it has already made 17 investments across its funds. Named portfolio companies include SkySpy.ai, Marble Imaging and Helicity Space, which operate in areas such as AI and space technology.
Why it matters
The close shows that small, specialised funds continue to attract capital in Europe, even as investors have grown more selective. Doubling total commitments to €30 million gives the firm room to keep writing early cheques in deep-tech categories where European founders are building hardware-heavy and software-driven businesses.
For founders in AI, robotics and space, a focused investor based in Berlin adds another potential source of seed-stage funding in a market where specialist backers remain relatively few.
The firm has not been reported to have changed its focus with the new fund: it continues to target early-stage startups in the same three sectors that defined its first vehicle.
