Kucoin Partners With DSRV on AI Agent Payments and On-Chain Data
Korean fintech data provider Cocon has signed an MOU with blockchain firm DSRV to build services where AI agents find financial data APIs and pay for them directly.

Cocon, a South Korean provider of financial data APIs, plans to build services in which AI agents locate the financial data they need, use it and pay the fee themselves. The company said on the 6th that it signed a memorandum of understanding with blockchain infrastructure firm DSRV covering on-chain financial data APIs and AI agent payments.
The two will combine Cocon's financial data APIs with DSRV's blockchain infrastructure to develop new data services. The aim is to extend Cocon's existing API business into blockchain-based on-chain data and then into the AI agent payment market.
Stablecoin data APIs first
The first item under review is an API that provides information on stablecoin payments, collection and settlement. Financial institutions and companies would be able to check wallet balances, transaction history, deposit status and transaction finality without querying blockchain networks themselves.
Cocon will package on-chain data as APIs for financial institutions, fintechs and corporate clients. DSRV will handle raw data collection and technical integration using its multichain node infrastructure, which gathers and processes data from several blockchains.
x402 for agent payments
On the AI side, Cocon plans to apply the x402 payment protocol to the data APIs it already offers through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and to link them with DSRV's digital wallet technology and blockchain infrastructure. x402 is an open protocol that handles stablecoin payment during an API call, so an AI agent can find and call an API and pay immediately, with no separate sign-up or contract.
The companies will set up a joint working group and start with a proof of concept for AI agent API payments. During the trial they also plan to define security standards for the points where on-chain data and payment information move between their systems.
Later, they intend to gauge individual and corporate demand for stablecoins, develop wallet management services and widen cooperation into corporate treasury areas such as global cash management services (CMS). Cocon CEO Kim Jong-hyun said linking on-chain data to financial systems is becoming more important as digital assets spread, and that the company will seek new business models around on-chain financial data and AI agents.
