Freshworks acquires Israeli AI startup Robusta for Freshservice
Freshworks has acquired Israel-based Robusta to add AI-driven incident investigation to its Freshservice IT service management platform. Terms were not disclosed.
Software-as-a-service company Freshworks has acquired Robusta, an Israel-based AI startup, to strengthen its IT operations platform Freshservice. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Robusta builds technology that uses AI to investigate technology incidents. It helps businesses work out why outages happen and recommends fixes. With the acquisition, those capabilities will be brought into Freshservice, Freshworks' IT service management (ITSM) product.
What it means for IT teams
The aim is to help organisations investigate incidents, identify the underlying causes of IT disruptions and resolve problems more efficiently. Finding the root cause of an outage is often one of the slowest parts of incident response, and automating that investigation is where Freshworks sees the value of the deal.
For existing Freshservice customers, the purchase signals a push toward AI-assisted operations rather than purely ticket-based workflows. Teams that manage infrastructure and applications may gain faster diagnosis and suggested remediation steps inside a tool they already use.
What comes next
The company has not disclosed the price, the size of Robusta's team or a timeline for integrating the technology. Details on how and when the features will reach Freshservice users are yet to be announced.
