Cygrid Exits Stealth With €2.66M to Keep AI Agents Off Data
Berlin cybersecurity startup Cygrid has emerged from stealth with a €2.66 million pre-Seed round for a platform that controls access to confidential information.
Cygrid, a Berlin-based cybersecurity startup, has come out of stealth with a €2.66 million pre-Seed funding round. The company is building an identity-enforcement platform designed to control who and what can access confidential company information, including AI agents.
The round was led by Atlantic, the pan-European pre-Seed fund. D11Z, the venture firm backed by the Schwarz family office, also participated, alongside angel investors including Boris Gorin, VP Product at a technology company.
Why it matters
As companies deploy AI agents that act on behalf of employees and systems, the question of what those agents are allowed to see becomes a security concern. Cygrid's pitch is to enforce identity-based rules on access to sensitive data, so that automated software does not reach information it should not.
The announcement positions Cygrid in a growing field of security providers focused on the risks that come with autonomous AI tools in the workplace. The company has not been described in the material available here beyond its core focus on identity enforcement and confidential-data access.
What comes next
Pre-Seed funding typically supports early product development and first customer work. Further details on product availability, customers and hiring plans were not part of the announcement summary.
