Apple Opens Siri AI to All Developers in 27.3 Beta Preview
Apple has launched a Developer Preview in the 27.3 betas that lets any developer connect their apps to Siri AI through App Intents. Public rollout is months away.

Apple has opened Siri AI integration to all developers. On November 3 (US time), the company announced a Developer Preview in the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3 betas that lets apps feed their content and actions into Siri AI through App Intents.
The feature will reach users in a few months, and App Store submissions will open in the spring. Apple said it will share the terms of use and policies for Siri AI experiences at a later date.
What developers can do
Developers can tap into the new Siri AI capabilities: understanding personal context, recognizing what is on screen, and handling requests phrased in natural language. When a user asks in their own words, Siri AI carries out the custom actions an app provides, such as checking a delivery, making a booking or placing an order.
For complex requests, Apple has introduced "skills", which teach Siri AI how to combine several actions into a single experience. Items in the Spotlight semantic index can now also be shown by Siri AI even if they do not fit an existing schema.
Apple has started rolling out these capabilities in many of its own apps, including Calendar, Files, Finder, Journal, Mail, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Preview, Reminders, Safari, Shortcuts and Weather. Examples include finding a coffee shop visited last week or archiving files not opened in over a year.
Availability and limits
Siri AI works in the 27.3 betas of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS. It requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence and a supported language. Those are English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, with Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese coming soon.
It is not available in the EU on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS, and users under 13 cannot use it. Apple Intelligence features that rely on server-side models have a daily usage cap, and Siri AI is included. Apple plans to offer a paid way to raise that limit in the future.
