Yandex Pay Restores Service After Outage Hits Transfers
Yandex Pay says it has fixed a daytime outage on 2 November that disrupted transfers, the app and the website, and that the service is running normally again.

Yandex Pay has restored its payment service after a widespread outage on the afternoon of 2 November, the company's press office said. Users had complained en masse about problems with money transfers and other functions of the app and website.
"Our specialists have already resolved the difficulties. The service is already operating normally," the press office said.
What users reported
According to the outage tracker DownDetector, more than 800 complaints about Yandex Pay were logged on 2 November. Most of them came from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
People reported trouble with their personal account, the mobile app and notifications, as well as with transfers. The company did not disclose the cause of the failure.
Follow-up to the October data center fires
The incident comes weeks after fires hit three Yandex data centers in Sasovo, Kaluga and Vladimir between 8 and 11 October. Those fires caused large-scale disruptions to the company's own services and to third-party internet resources.
Engineers have since restored the core functions of Yandex services, including Yandex Pay, Go and Disk, although work to bring their full capabilities back is still under way.
For users of the payment service, the episode is a reminder of how dependent everyday transfers and purchases are on the stability of the underlying infrastructure. Yandex has not linked the 2 November failure to the October incidents.
