Seraphim Academy to Invest $150,000 in Early-Stage SpaceTech
Seraphim has launched the Seraphim Academy, a programme investing $150,000 in each selected early-stage SpaceTech company, with up to 12 months of tailored support.

Seraphim, the UK-based SpaceTech investor, has launched the Seraphim Academy, a selective programme that will invest $150,000 in early-stage companies across two funding stages. Selected founders also receive up to 12 months of tailored support to raise capital, win customers and expand internationally.
Applications are open now to pre-seed and seed-stage SpaceTech companies developing differentiated technologies for global markets. Seraphim assesses applicants on a rolling basis and shapes support around each company's commercial priorities, funding plans and international ambitions. The core programme takes four to six months.
What founders get
Support covers several areas. On fundraising, Seraphim's specialist team helps sharpen investment propositions and prepare professional materials, with access to more than 800 co-investors across early-stage, late-stage and public markets. Commercial support focuses on sales, business development and international expansion, particularly in space and defence.
Founders can also tap experienced SpaceTech entrepreneurs and major industry players through the Prime-in-Residence programme, to better understand customer requirements. Targeted introductions to investors and corporate partners in the UK, Europe and the US are included, as is access to Seraphim's investment-readiness work with Space Florida and Florida's aerospace finance and development authority. After the formal programme ends, companies keep access to Seraphim's mentors and networks.
Building on the Xona example
Founded in 2016, Seraphim manages approximately $1 billion in assets. It has backed more than 150 companies in 33 countries, including 11 unicorns and six IPOs, and companies supported through its accelerator have collectively raised more than $1.7 billion.
The Academy builds on that accelerator model. Xona Space Systems, which is developing the first commercial low Earth orbit satellite navigation constellation, joined the earlier programme in 2019. Seraphim later led its early rounds, and Xona has now raised a $250 million Series D at a $2.45 billion valuation, seven months after a $170 million Series C.
Seraphim aims to support up to 15 companies a year for the next decade and beyond. Alexander Holt, Managing Director at Seraphim Space, said the goal is to help founders turn technical potential into businesses with customers and international reach, and to build relationships that last well beyond the programme.
