SEBI Clears Atomberg's ₹450 Crore IPO Plan for Listing
India's markets regulator has approved Atomberg's IPO, which combines a fresh issue of up to ₹450 crore with an offer for sale of up to 7.65 crore shares.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has cleared the initial public offering of consumer appliances maker Atomberg. The regulator issued its observation letter on October 30, a couple of months after the company filed its draft IPO papers. In SEBI's process, that letter is the formal go-ahead to proceed with a public listing.
Issue structure and use of funds
According to the draft papers, the IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹450 crore and an offer for sale of up to 7.65 crore equity shares. Existing investors, including A91 Partners, Temasek Holdings and Inflexor Ventures, intend to reduce their holdings through the sale.
Atomberg plans to put ₹90 crore of the fresh proceeds toward repaying or prepaying certain borrowings. Another ₹150 crore is earmarked for brand awareness and performance marketing, and ₹100 crore for research and development. The rest will go to general corporate purposes.
Growth alongside widening losses
Founded in 2012 by Manoj Meena, with Sibabrata Das joining as cofounder in 2013, Atomberg makes ceiling fans, mixer grinders, water purifiers and cold-pressed juicers. Through its subsidiary Atomberg Innovations, it also supplies proprietary components such as motors and controllers to enterprise customers including Voltas, Godrej and Blue Star.
For FY26, operating revenue rose 34.8% to ₹1,293.77 crore from ₹959.51 crore a year earlier. The consolidated net loss widened 26.8% to ₹148.9 crore from ₹117.4 crore.
As of March 31, 2026, the company had 626 distributors and direct dealers and 46,932 retail touchpoints across about 1,600 cities and towns, with after-sales service reaching more than 18,000 pin codes. Tier II and smaller cities generated the largest share of offline consumer appliances revenue in FY26, at 49.57%, ahead of metropolitan cities at 30.91% and Tier 1 cities at 19.52%.
Products are sold online through ecommerce marketplaces and quick commerce platforms, and offline through distributors, retailers and modern trade chains.
